Our research provides the scientific base for the design of medical implants, for understanding cell-material interactions and for the development of new therapies based on the principles of tissue engineering.   

Professor Joachim Kohn leads a scientific staff of approximately thirty research faculty, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students, with expertise in chemistry and chemical engineering, material science, biomedical engineering, cellular and molecular biology, animal studies, and computational technology.
